a bit about me

i'm a college student who loves writing (poetry, essays, fiction, journaling), making art (drawing, collaging), and above all, combining these activities by making ZINES.

right now i have three zines:

-'"the end is near (and other bedtime stories)"
a half-size, 12 page zine with poetry and artwork that reflects on political themes: the war in iraq, foreign policy, the election, and so on.

"the house and those in it"
an art zine with no text, this is a visual meditation on history, family and geography through the use of old photos from my grandparents' youth, maps, old postcards, dictionary pages, etc. also half size, 12 pages.

-"against the flood" #1, my newest, which is a perzine about my experiences with depression and anxiety, and how writing/art/zinemaking help me deal. it's text-heavy but also lots of cute drawings and collages and decorative borders. 1/4 size, 24 pages.

i love trading with other people for zines and crafts, so if you're interested, we can arrange a trade. because who doesn't love to get handmade things in the mail?
